Quartz Fiber Mat and Felt
Xcellent Composites offers an extensive array of non-woven mats and felts crafted from quartz fiber, encompassing quartz fiber felt, quartz fiber needle-punched mat, and quartz fiber wet-laid mat.
Quartz fiber felt is crafted from quartz fiber wool ranging from 3-5 or 9-14 microns, infused with an organic binder.
Quartz fiber needle-punched mat is a fusion of quartz fiber carding wool mat, comprised of chopped strands with a filament diameter of 7μm, interlocked through needling.
Quartz fiber wet-laid mat consists of wet quartz fiber chopped strands dispersed randomly and held together by formulated binders, forming a cohesive mat. In addition to possessing similar properties as glass fiber wet-laid mat, quartz fiber wet-laid mat also exhibits characteristic properties of quartz fiber, including heat insulation and wave transmission. Primarily utilized in composites for surface molding and polishing applications.
