Carbon Fiber Unidirectional Fabric

Carbon fiber unidirectional fabric is created by laying numerous carbon fiber filaments evenly in the warp direction and weaving them together with a minimal amount of fiberglass thermoplastic yarn. After passing through a heated roller, the fiberglass yarn melts, resulting in a thin fabric where the fibers in the main direction bear the load. The weaving method used is plain weave. Xcellent produces carbon fiber unidirectional fabric with a width range of 50 to 1270 mm and a weight range of 200 to 500 g/m². Both width and weight can be customized according to customer requirements.

Features of Carbon Fiber Unidirectional Fabric

 

01. Directional Intensity: The strength is primarily concentrated along the longitudinal direction, with the latitudinal yarns mainly serving a reinforcing role. This configuration endows unidirectional carbon fiber fabrics with exceptionally high strength and rigidity in the primary direction.
02. Durability: These materials exhibit considerable durability, are rust-resistant, and possess resistance to acids, alkalis, salts, and atmospheric corrosion.
03. Strong Adaptability: Unaffected by the geometric dimensions and shapes of building structures, these fabrics can be flexibly applied to the reinforcement and repair of various structures.
04. High Performance: The reinforcement of reinforced concrete structures can achieve effects similar to those obtained with steel plates.
05. Superior Weaving Process: Xcellent’s production of unidirectional carbon fiber fabric features evenly distributed, straight carbon filaments with minimal thickness variation and easy resin penetration.
